Office Manager

Laura Jafri is our business manager and has worked in the dental field since 1995. Laura is responsible for the business management of Mid-Michigan Dental Center and the head of our payroll and accounts payable departments.

Business Staff

Darcie Williams is our Scheduling Coordinator. Darcie is responsible for the coordination of appointments for all providers, administration of the billing system, insurance coordination and recare systems. Darcie has been in the dental field since 1997. Patients can always rely on Darcie to help resolve any issues that may arise during the course of their care at our practice. Darcie continues to meet and exceed our stringent continuing education requirements.

Barb Sutliff is our financial coordinator and insurance specialist.  Barb has been in the dental field since 1990. Barb started  her career in dentistry as a chairside dental assistant and is the only cross trained employee that can work anywhere in our office. Her extensive experience and expertise is a great asset.  Patients can feel confident that Barb will take care of any questions regarding their care whether it pertains to specific treatment considerations or insurance and financial issue. Barb meets and exceeds our stringent continuing education requirements.

Judy Assid has been working in the dental field since 1985. Judy is our recare system coordinator. Judy's many years of experience are definitely an asset to our practice. Judy also meets and exceeds our stringent continuing education requirements.

Julie Ardelean is our recare system administrator.  Julie has strong background in the insurance industry and brings this past  experience to our  team.  If you have any questions about your recare Julie will be available to assist you.  Julie also meets and exceeds our stringent continuing  education  requirements. 

Dental Hygienists

We have four excellent dental hygienists on our staff. You will find that no matter who you choose to take care of your dental hygiene needs you will be treated with special, individualized care from a hygienist that is well trained, caring and concientious.

All of our hygienists have taken extensive continuting education programs that greatly exceeds their requirements. We have a soft tissue management program to manage any of our periodontal needs.

Kathy has been a dental hygienist since 1997 receiving her hygiene degree from Mott Community College in Flint. Kathy has state certification in nitrous oxide administration and local anesthesia administration. Kathy resides in Flushing with her husband and three wonderful children.

Debbie has been a dental hygienist since 1990 receiving her hygiene degree from Motto Community college in Flint. Debbie has worked in the dental filed since 1984. Debbie also has state certification in nitrous oxide administration and local anesthesia administration. Debbie is a life long resident of the Owosso-Corunna area resides in Corunna with her husband and two wonderful children.

Jody has been a dental hygienist since 1994 receiving her degree from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI. Jody also has state certification in nitrous oxide administration and local anesthesia administration. Jody is a life long resident of the Chesaning-New Lothrop area and currently resides in Chesaning area with her husband and two beautiful children.

Patty has been a dental hygienist since  2005 and is the newest addition to our team.  She received her degree from Lansing Community College.  Patty has certification to  administer nitrous oxide and for local anesthesia administration.  Patty is a lifelong Owosso resident and  resides in Owosso with her husband and three children.

Dr. Jafri has been serving the dental needs of Shiawassee County since 1995 and is proud to announce the opening of his new state-of-the-art facility located at 1425 N. M-52 just north of V.G.'s Food Center.

Designed by world renowned dental architect Michael Unthank and by local architect Jed Dingens, this new location provides a world class  facility for the providing of dental care.

Dr. Jafri did his undergraduate work at the University of Toronto in Toronto, ON ad earned his dental degree at the University of Louisville in Louisville, KY. He also completed a post-graduate General Practice Residency program at the Genesee Hospital in Rochester, NY where he received advance training in implant dentistry and oral surgery.

Professional affiliations include membership in the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Shiawassee District Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Dr. Jafri resides in Owosso with his wife Laura and five children.

Personal hobbies include playing ice hockey, electronics, computers, traveling and photography. Dr. Jafri volunteers time with the local YMCA coaching basketball, soccer and baseball.
